The short answer

As of September 2026, no Selank product has FDA approval for use in the United States.

If someone offers Selank, ask them to show the rule that allows the exact medicine to be made and supplied to you.

The FDA page, marked “current as of” April 22, 2026, lists Selank among withdrawn requests to allow ingredients for medicines.

The ingredient’s name in this FDA record is “Selank acetate”; “acetate” is part of that name. The same entry also calls the ingredient “TP-7”. Ask whether it matches the ingredient in the medicine being offered.

The people or groups who asked the FDA to allow the ingredients took their requests back.

As of September 2026, the withdrawn request neither approved Selank nor allowed a pharmacy to make Selank medicine for you.

The page still raises a concern that the body may react to Selank as an invader.

It also says important human safety details are missing.

Compounding is preparing medicine suited to an individual patient’s needs.

As of September 2026, Selank is absent from the US list of extra ingredients pharmacies may use and the FDA’s lists grouping ingredients for review.

An ingredient is the material used to make the medicine.

The FDA’s review groups include ingredients it will generally not act against pharmacies for using while it decides, if its conditions are met.

As of September 2026, these lists give no basis for a pharmacy to make Selank medicine for you; taking back the request did not change that.

A National Drug Code, or NDC, identifies an entry in the FDA’s product directory.

As of September 2026, the Selank directory entries describe raw powders, not a finished FDA-approved medicine.

As of September 2026, an FDA directory listing does not mean the medicine has approval, according to the agency.

The short answer

Ask: “What exactly would I receive, who makes it, and which rule allows it to be made and supplied to me?”

Turn the status into a useful question

Avoid trying to settle the rules from a short sales line. Bring the claim to the health professional and ask for a source you can read.
